CAMPUS APPEARANCE BOOKING
Let Peaches School You…
“Peaches Christ was not only fun, but an educational experience for my students. Peaches’ anecdotes about college, creating short films, and the actualization of Peaches Christ were eminently entertaining. Students, faculty and staff were captivated and left inspired. I highly recommend Peaches Christ as a Campus Program.”
–John Faughn, Coordinator, LGBTQ Resource Center, University of Missouri
You too can book Peaches Christ to appear at your college or University in 2010! Want to learn more? Here’s how she can be yours for the evening…
Short films screenings: The Tran-ilogy of terror
This interactive program features Ms. Christ in-person screening her “Tran-ilogy of Terror”: three different drag horror shorts chronicling the often frightening, always hilarious misadventures of Peaches and her flawed, tragic sidekick Martiny. Additionally, the program includes the short film gore comedy Grindhouse, which was recently made into Joshua Grannell’s first feature film, All About Evil, starring Natasha Lyonne, Mink Stole, Cassandra Peterson, Thomas Dekker.
Peaches delivers a full entertainment experience…
Peaches opens the show with an over-the-top live performance, setting the tone for an evening of outrageous entertainment, multi-media storytelling, and audience Q&A. After Peaches’ grand entrance, she introduces each of her films while telling the story of her wild show-biz career thus far. Ms. Christ shares hilarious tales from the “underground” and behind-the-scenes stories about making the no-budget movies, as well as the transition she made to legitimate bigger budget feature filmmaking. She’ll also present a short sneak peek of the upcoming All About Evil by screening the trailer for the film.
This interactive film program first debuted at the SF Frameline Gay and Lesbian Film Festival where over 700 attendees filled the legendary Castro Theatre to see Peaches and her films. The program was such a hit she was then booked to re-create the evening at festivals in Belgium, Switzerland, New York City, Phoenix, and Seattle. She’s taken this same show to many other college campuses across the country.
Peaches Christ’s wildly popular Midnight Mass movie series can also travel to your University or College and include a presentation about “cult cinema” and the importance of “camp culture”. The Midnight Mass road-show would include a customized pre-show of entertainment based around the film or special guest your school would like to see. In some cases, Peaches can travel with a genuine cult film icon; Tura Satana (Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!) or Mink Stole (of John Waters fame). The pre-show entertainment would last roughly one hour and precede a screening of the corresponding film. Peaches (and special guest) would be available for post-show Q&A and autograph signing.
